Apr. 10th, 2010 12:03 amToday was my aunt and uncles anniversary so a good portion of the family went up to the favorite bar/restaurant of the two. I actually had a good time.
I'm starting to notice that women really are noticing me, which prior to this I really didn't pay attention to. It seems like they take more notice when you aren't paying attention to them.
There was a cute waitress who I made laugh a few times and later on when most had left, and the party had become a toga party at the bar, I was out smoking a cigarette and ended up in a few conversations with probably the cutest females there. Very interesting.
To be honest after two years of being out of relationship I would totally rip the clothes off of any of the three, but I really enjoyed talking to the two outside. The one (who wasn't an employee) took notice of the fact that I probably get into a lot of shit at bars around here because "I look different" I said, "Well, is it the way I /look/" and moved my hands around my face and body, "or is it the way I dress?" and she said, "I don't know, but I bet there's places out there you'd walk into and everyone would look just like you."
Well, it wouldn't be counter culture anymore then, would it?
Very cute girl, and she spent awhile telling me about the drama that had happened earlier with some guy proclaiming she had AIDS - surprising considering the bar and the context of the situation. Anyway, I felt pretty bad for her. She said she had a boyfriend so I didn't offer to buy her a drink, but she had a pretty singing voice during karaoke later. I'm not surprised she's taken.
The bartender that talked to me outside was probably single, although I'm not positive. I should've spent more time talking to her but I got caught up in a conversation about TooL and maynard with the owner. She said, "I haven't seen /you/ around here before" and I think the whole context was probably, "you're pretty cute, why aren't you here more often so I can get comfortable with you?" Unfortunate but that's the way it works. I don't become regulars at places really. It sucks, I think I'm beginning to realize there's not a lot of /guys/ that are single and looking EITHER. So I actually am a /rarity/ you might say, a kind of diamond in a rough, and I don't fall for anyone so that makes me even more desirable.
All in all a good night. I kinda wish I would've gotten a number, but it's not like I tried for it. I didn't go up there with that intention. Not to mention the fact it's not like I have my own nice place I can bring a girl too after a nice night out on the town.
Someday that'll work out. Still have some other kinks to work out in my life before that. Although I'm beginning to think within a year I'm going to have to pry women off of me.
