This makes me angry.

I guess the one hippie/party type relative i have's boyfriend/husband i think is pagan...and i never even got to talk to him about it, damnit.

He told my aunt that her mother wants her back...then continued, your earthmother.

And it was bothering my aunt, because she's christian...or slacker christian like most people i guess, doesn't attend church, just finds it absurb when someone doesn't have faith in the christian god...

Well, i had my mom set her straight. Paganism has been around longer and having that said to you by someone is probably more of a good thing...but i still need to have my mom relay the message that maybe my aunt should look into paganism...

And i want to talk to that guy. Maybe i can finally have a teacher that's in flesh and blood.

I got my driver's permit today, yay. But i don't like cars damnit...-sighs-

Oh...and i have a question...

WHY DO THE IRAQIS HAVE TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN SECURITY WHEN THEY DIDN'T CREATE THE HAVOC THAT NOW EXISTS?

America says they don't want to provide more troops, they are the fucking ones who went in there and took down whatever government that was there. They should fucking solve it.

I may be being slightly biased, but i'm pissed. So BLAH!

-nods- I still call myself a pagan for the most part and labels are labels, honestly i prefer not to have any at all...we are what we are, as long as we are happy as what we are what difference does it make.

I always wanted to learn more of asatru, if you'd be willing to teach, i'd be willing to listen. The only way i'll ever find the exact path i should be following is to learn as much as i can about as much as I can.

If you are Pagan, than you give yourself a label. That is your choice. And if you choose to believe in 'pagan' deities, than you give yourself an applicaple label. And I do not object. Do not, however, complain if other people give you the same label.

Asatru is a religion. Not a system or style of Magic. If you are looking for other religions like Wicca, you've come to the wrong place. The Magic in Asatru is faith based, yes. But in an inherently different way from Wicca. One can be a Godhi of the Aesir and have no talent at Galdr or Seidhr.
Similarly, one can be a Vitki or a Seidhmadhr, and have nothing more than a passing relationship with the gods.
If you are truly interested in the Faith of the Aesir, I reccomend you check out livejournal.com/~asatruar. I am not exactly equipped to teach you about faith in anyone save my own gods. And there are more out there than just the few I work with closely. I can give you the overview, but nothing specific.
If, however, you are interested in Seidhr and Galdr, I reccomend before you begin studying them that you do, in fact, research the Aesir and the Vanir, and understand what you get yourself in for when you agree to their rules to work their magic. No style is free of contract. Remember that. Nothing comes for free. Least of all, Magic.
Odhinn gave his life for the Runes, and for Necromancy. He gave his eye for a drink from the well of Mimir. And he gave his son to assure the Aesir a place after Ragnarok. If you are unwilling to match his sacrifice, then you are unwilling to take his power.
