I think we are winning.
Sep. 2nd, 2010 09:14 pmOne look at a major news organization website, a recent article entry with fraudulent information regarding marijuana and what legalization will result in, tells me that the movement is finally winning. There is no way prohibitionists can back up their faulty, irrational logic any longer. Medical studies are coming in by the droves now - FDA backed and all. It's becoming a common fact that it is safer than tobacco and alcohol - combined, in most cases. It is healthier. It has a more positive effect.
But the real question that will plague me, as the culture changes and as it is legalized nationally in time, will be why did it take so long for the ignorant public to recognize the truth?
The answer is simple: manufactured consent is a reality. And just because this movement is winning, does not mean that other, /far more important/ movements won't continue to be suppressed. In fact, I am saddened that movements with a more meaningful end result are still far, far away from any real progress.
