Blu Electronic Cigarette

I managed to get one for my birthday (a late birthday, it finally arrived today.)

At first I was pretty disappointed with it - It seemed fickle, I wasn't getting any real vapor production. But I read about how the foil gets stuck to the atomizer (solved that) and I decided I'd try a completely new cart other than the one I first put on. Worked like a charm.

It seems the trick to these things is you have to get the atomizer warmed up. Otherwise, it's not vaping properly. I thought it was the opposite at first, because it seemed like the longer i left it sit the better it vaped (but only for one hit) however, when I put the second cartridge on, it smoked like a charm for a good 7 hits...and I even managed to get that nicotine high I hardly ever feel anymore.

Pretty awesome. No more smell, no more harmful side effects, and it should help me quit smoking anything - even it - entirely. My lungs will be healing in no time and it'll be like I never smoked. Exciting.

They sound like a pretty intriguing product. I like the idea of the flavors.

The flavors are actually pretty good. They all taste semi-sweet.

On the other hand i think miniature vaporizers like what's being marketed as e-cigs are probably pretty fickle as a whole. It isn't giving me the same experience every time I try a new cart - but ultimately this about me quitting smoking, not continuing it in a different fashion. But if I found a -really- good product (I don't think Blu is) i might continue to.

It still gives you nicotine though. It's not designed to stop people from smoking, just from getting all the chemicals and tar from commercial cigarettes.

Oh yeah, absolutely. But there's an estimated 10 other chemicals in traditional cigarettes that increase the addictive aspect.

However there's no way in hell with a fickle product like this I can actually -get- a good dose of nicotine consistently...and I imagine by the time I get through all of these cartridges it came with, I won't be smoking much at all.

Nicotine itself is harmful, yeah, but not nearly as much in conjunction with all those other chems. There are some positives about nicotine also - not sure they necessarily outweigh the negatives, however.
