I found a site that has official piano sheet music for every final fantasy. Pretty awesome huh?

I'm learning the format Nobuo intended for the intro theme. I think it'll be good practice reading this stuff and learning from it...and since it's mainly music I have basically memorized mentally it'll make it more enjoyable. FF7 alone has close to 30-40 individual songs. Will definitely be great practice. I think I'll grab all of FF8's music as well...that way even when the website goes poof (I'm sure it will) I'll have hard copies of it all. Can't -wait- to learn Laguna's theme from FF8. That song is -badass-

The intro theme I've found is most effectively performed by crossing your hands over one another for various parts. Soo fucking cool watching myself do that. Seems like I've come a long way from the 14 year old with a keyboard. Too bad I didn't have classical training as a kid...just means I have to work hard to make up for lost time.

There's nothing I really want to push quite yet honestly.

I know other people "like" my music...some have offered to buy it...but it's simply not worth it for me to tarnish my reputation with sub-par compositions. Until that feeling changes there's not much I can do.

I'm not the first composer and musician to be that way about works...there were quite a few famous composers who only released a small fraction of their entire collections for public consumption.

Besides that, I just don't have the self esteem right now to take my own stuff seriously...it's why I'm concentrating on learning sheet music and practicing technique. Sequencing is overdone, I much prefer doing lots of live recordings nowadays.
