sathorI snorted a line of oxy and then I took to the skies.
I took my telescope out and started working out kinks. I've got the red dot sight calibrated well enough where it should work pretty well for finding specific objects, but it's pretty flimsy so it's not perfect. I'll have to see if there's a way I can lock it into place better so I can get it dead on.
Full moon tonight. It was absolutely amazing to look at. There's some inconsistencies I don't quite understand...for instance a fine line that runs almost perfectly down the center of the sphere (adjusting for the fact it is a sphere - it's "straight" relative to the fact the moon is a sphere), pointing at the far northern crater at the upper reaches of what we can see from earth. This hardly seems reasonable as a non-intelligently made imperfection. It simply makes no sense. No asteroid could possibly hit it and produce such a lengthy line - and it's broken up in some sections, or at least not visible...but continues exactly where it should farther along.
The camera seems worthless unless I can get it to zoom out. It's either that, or hold it up against one of the magnifiers instead of setting it within where the magnification cylinders go.
I wish I could get a decent picture tonight. The moon looks so perfect and detailed through this thing. It's so much more amazing than any picture could ever be.
