I didn't think about this before, but I'm pretty sure I could easily get an extension for my mic chord and run it into the adjacent room through the doorways even. I wouldn't be able to compose in an acoustically silent environment, but any recording I do could easily be done that way, it would just take some extra work (like possibly rendering the harmony or bass line down to an mp3 and running it through an mp3 player while i record in the other room, since recording it straight into my DAW while looping would be a pain in the ass taking into consideration time to get setup in the other room)

That might be how I get my acoustic guitar samples. Been really needing them.
