If you weren't aware, Soundgarden is getting together again to supposedly tour sometime soon (or may already be!)

I really didn't like Chris Cornell in Audioslave. The vocals were over the top and had very little meaning to me, unlike the stuff he wrote for Soundgarden. It felt like 70s pop rock all over again.

Other than that, looks like I'm getting my appetite back again which is good. I didn't have one for quite some time, but I think I only lost maybe 2 or 3lbs total over a period of a month of what amounted to close to fasting. I usually ate once a day. Just some food for thought.

Now that I'm getting my appetite back I have to start working out again :P

Stuff is alright, for now. I forgot I'll get extra back on my tax return because of my student loan payments. It might be enough for my diploma after all, or at least closer I hope.

That's interesting news. I was a huge Soundgarden fan and an absolute Chris Cornell fangirl for a LONG time. The first Audioslave album I thought was ok, and it did give me the chance to see Chris sing live, but the second album I thought was super mediocre...then there was that terrible solo album and then the hideous project with Timbaland...I pretty much gave up on Chris then.

I have to agree with you that the Soundgarden lyrics were SO superior to Audioslave's. Looking at the liner notes though Chris didn't write a lot of my favourite Soundgarden songs...however.... :D Happy memories of Chris screaming about the apocalypse :D

However as much as I'd like to I'm not going to get excited about this yet. I've seen quite a few classic 90's bands get back together to tour or for an album recently and I'm pretty cynical about it. Mind you I saw FNM at Leeds festival last year and they were ABSOLUTELY superb...

Anyways..fingers crossed that this is reunion is going to be a good thing.

Fingers crossed for that tax return.

He didn't write the lyrics? Ahh...my opinion of him is now officially ruined.

I doubt it'll be enough, but thank you for the hope...i need it. The real question is whether or not to use it on that...so many possibilities, only one outcome possible.

If I could find a decent paying job I could tolerate maybe this situation would be different...but I don't think it will ever solve my wanderlust, maybe nothing will except the military.

Hrmmm.

Hehe, the 90s are classic now. I was always in with the older crowd and the older stuff, so now I feel even older than I am. Way out of tune with my generation. I think I get along better with yours.

I remember going through the liners years ago and being pretty disappointed that other band members wrote a lot of my favourites.

You come across as being way older than you are. I only realised today that you're only 22 from your other post. However your generation post is making me feel OLD despite the fact it's true and generally I'm pretty happy to be a gen x :P

Hehe, I'm like gen X only younger. Maybe some day this will work to my advantage relationship wise. To be honest, the only women I recall hitting on me in bars were late 20s early 30s if at all. And typically I found them much more attractive. I'm just not attractive in the other ways that are important to gen X's now, like financially.
