My feelings are beginning to weigh in favor of the army.

Why is it that I feel such a draw to it...I feel such an intuition like that of fate?

I haven't seen as much military propaganda on television. Maybe they've moved it to the HAARP.

My brother is considering enlisting at the moment.

I don't really believe in it...but there's so little else that I even can do now.

There's so many jobs that won't give me health insurance, or won't even pay me enough to get by.

I feel somewhat trapped, I guess.

Wasted time, mainly. You don't get paid, you get very little towards future college education, and they are really just using you as a slave to help people in less fortunate countries. It's not really aligned with anything in my life path either. Scholarship, music, writing...none of it. It will let me see the world like the military will, but that's where the similarities end.

Peace corps for four years and you get maybe $10-20,000 for college if that. Can't remember the exact figures. You get enough money for transport back home at the end of it. Military, if you don't spend while in, you should end up with close to $200,000 in cash at the end of four years counting bonuses, plus somewhere near $80,000 in credit for education.

Nothing really looks good right now. But most things are better than this. Being shipped off to a third world country and not getting paid is equivalent to living here jobless for a few more years. Not really a good idea imho.
