Yeah, I worked at a lumber mill in northwest Pennsylvania. The buildings were not heated - during the winter time, while piling, it was essentially whatever the ambient temperature was outside. I was laid off four times, and the last time I was brought back, I was put in a position where my life and limb were in danger daily, as well as my long-term health as a result of other aspects of the job. Numerous OSHA violations that went without fines and unchanged made me finally walk out one night at midnight. I shook the hand of one of the maintenance guys I worked with, and told him to have a nice life.
No one had had a raise in over four years. I'm glad I got out before I had worked for a full year.
