Rejection Therapy: Day 1

Interesting little game. The only rule is to be rejected once every day. It doesn't mean you have to actively try to be rejected, although that certainly helps matters.

So today is day one. I got rejected twice.

First, the sister of an old friend of mine pretty much wrote me off because I have a tendency to pry too much (I was just curious about why she felt her breakup was her fault.)

Second, an ex girlfriend told me, "I shouldn't waste my time with someone who will take a negative perspective and shine light on it instead of figuring out what's real."

Of course what brought that on was simply me saying, "I don't like promiscuous sex. If you're into that, that's your thing." No insinuation. I was just making a statement about MY feelings, which she turned around as an attack on her. Which says something about her, I think. Outside of the fact that it says she doesn't value me as a person besides my tendency to read into things, which is fucking stupid.

So that's two in a day. But I still have to manage one tomorrow.
