Why does the government have to promote the military?

I just don't understand humanity anymore. I think it's insane. I don't care if it's age old gods damned bullshit, I don't care. I don't understand it.

Somehow, they make it seem like a good thing that you'll be sent off to some remote country to fight, kill, and destroy those who have no personal connection with you. Because it's in the name of 'freedom' either for your people or their people. Where is the freedom for the slain? Where is the freedom for those who are forced to follow orders? Where is the fucking GODS DAMNED FREEDOM?

I don't get it. This country is full of hypocrites. We build it on so-called freedom, even though we caused endless bloodshed to stretch it from east coast to west coast. We promote freedom and democracy, even though we run over to other countrys and start killing people who resist (and fight) such occupation. We are a democracy, even though Bush lost by 500,000 votes BY THE PEOPLE. Where the hell is the sanity in all of this? Where is this country's values when we go to war? They obviously aren't there. It's doublespeak, it's forgetting the truth after something contradictory has occured. 1984 is already here in essence, people just don't know it because of the doublespeak.

Bush stated in the beginning that the war was about disarming saddam's WMDs. Okay, that's what he stated. He didn't talk about liberating the Iraqi's people, he fucking didn't. Don't deny it, you know it's the truth. For those two weeks, everyone was worried about WMDs.

Well, lo and behold, there were none. Two weeks into the war, he switches it from "Disarming Saddam" to, "Liberating the Iraqis from a Ruthless Dictator."

Did anyone else notice that switch?

Am I the only fucking person who noticed how it switched and no one gave two fucks about it?

Wake the fuck up. Gods. You're in a freaking tyranny run by a madman who manipulates the sheep.

(Yes, I overreact and I've bitched about this shit before. But this fucking advertising of the military really is making me angry again.)

i feel the same way. bush is just doing daddy's work. Remember how we are going to go to mars in something like 2013? if you check back, that is the same datew the bush sr. had put in place when he was in office. oh and if bush gets elected, the draft is back. They just passed laws on how it doesn't matter if you are in college and such. but he doesn't wanna bring it up until after november.
