The beautiful reality:

I was invited to go to memphis tennesee to hang out with my aunt for awhile this spring...

It just so happens the NHLA lumber inspector school is in memphis near where she lives.

It would more than halve my costs if I could stay with her while going to grading school.

This is an exciting possibility. Graders get paid 30k+ starting generally. It's not incredibly demanding work. And it'd allow me a selection of jobs all over the US, possibly near a good university. Even if not, I can come back home, make good money, and return to college.

It seems like the best option right now. Each NHLA graduate receives 2 to 5 job offers on average, all over the United States. That probably one of the best circumstances for someone just after technical school to have. It doesn't cost a lot to receive the certification, it doesn't take a lot of time, and once I have it, I have it for life. It will always be a good fall back plan, and a way to make money if necessary at any time.
