sathorIt is my hope that this document will forever be granted to all and any free of charge due to the spirit of its nature and that it will, one day, aid in resulting in its intentions.
Our own qualities of life are greatly dependent on the qualities of life of those around us. We are intertwined with one-another and this itself can not be denied for any one who looks honestly about themselves. This is one plain reason why the ideology of capitalism is in conflict with the ideal. It also should serve as a reminder that the capitalist ideology is not one of benevolence but rather engenders within the individuals it produces a sense of egotism and selfishness.
Is there a valid reasoning for capitalism in its current form to exist? There are many purported of course, but none I have found yet that can tell me whether or not society benefits from a scale of poverty to great riches more than it would if it were equalized, with all people equally offered free opportunity to gain as much knowledge as they desire, and to then apply that knowledge equally with ease, without regard for their class of birth, be they the son of a baker or the daughter of a corporate officer, and without regard for their race or religion, be they a native from Africa or a Mormon.
I write this in the year 2010, A.D or C.E, and still I fear that our world is on the brink of utter self destruction. Bigotry has only grown, now with the spread of atheism and nationalism, even after the many successes of various civil rights movements, those of us with the eyes to see notice that the differences become more pronounced, and that instead of accepting one another more readily, we are becoming more separated.
We are failing as emotional and intelligent creatures to produce a world where all people are equally respected and treated, equally given life and the tools to achieve their utmost potentials. If there is a God or Gods, after so many years of bloodshed and hatred of one-another, we being not at all different from one another, there is no way of imagining how disappointed he, she, it or they must be with all of us. In our world now the riches compared to centuries ago are without number, nigh infinitely greater, and we can not spare what I have spoken of for all people? There is no need to water down such thoughts with data or figures - our life expectancy has increased, we waste a great deal and it is absolutely inconceivable that we have not the presence of mind to utilize the technology available to us to benefit all of mankind by creating a standard minimum of shelter, food, water, education and medicine for all of humanity across the globe. And if this is not possible with the number of resources upon our planet, then we must either colonize other planets, reduce our population via nonviolent means over an extended time period, or multiply our efficiency in using our resources so that they are sufficient to do so.
For every moment we do not achieve this, we may have lost a unique potential within a person who may have achieved it with these tools, a unique potential that, many years down the road, long after you and I are dust in the earth, of even now, would have changed the course of history or even saved the entire human race from extinction. It is our lack of foresight, our desire to gain for ourselves in the now, which can and almost certainly will result in our absolute destruction.
The United States now stretches from sea to sea, and has for a century and more. Undeveloped nations are scattered across the globe all with great suffering comparably. We have the ability to eliminate within our borders, and some day the world, the suffering that these nations experience on a level no American, including my self, can truly imagine. There are many countries in the world not unlike America, and they too have yet to accomplish this goal, which is not at all lofty with the powerful technologies we have available to us, of which they are so quickly developing that by the time you read this, they will have grown far greater than when I have written it.
In the case that you are not swayed by my arguments so far, I ask that you at least look within yourself and ask the question of whether you think the benefits I have laid out before you are dwarfed by those of our current economic systems and governments. I think you will find that there appears to be no longer term benefit to our governments in the least, but we are still too young a race to cope without it entirely.
There will always be a need for protectors of the people, police, judiciary, prisons, firefighters, medical personnel and military (although one day I pray that there will only be need to protect global society from internal threats and not external) these should never fall into the hands of any organization that is not funded by the people as a whole by taxation. They should also perform their duties equally and completely with all people, receiving no compensation by the hands of an individual. Their lifestyles shall be determined entirely by the merit of their occupation through the state, which in this case refers to the body of taxation. The system of law and all modes of operation shall also be determined by majority rule of the populous determined to be of a sufficient level of age and education, the degree of education required being no more than the amount required of all citizens. In the case an individual ceases their education prematurely, they will not be considered a part of this body, although they will be given every opportunity to achieve it at any stage in their life as per the desire of this article.
Most importantly this article can not be changed from its current form, and can not have anything amended to it that is in conflict with it.
Housing, food, water and heat shall all be paid for as well by taxation and by the state. In times of limited resources, the state shall grant benefits to those who choose not to breed. When there is a need for more population to sustain the current standard, benefits shall be granted to those who choose to breed. In circumstances where it is possible to colonize another planet, this method may also be used to reduce the population.
