The Bay of Pigs
Feb. 9th, 2015 03:09 amFor whatever reason, I knew nothing of the history of Che Guevara or Fidel Castro. For all the years I spent in school, these historical persons and facts evaded me and the curriculum, apparently. I'm willing to hazard a guess there's a lot more that did (and I'm well aware of a small fraction of it.) It draws into question much of what is taught as historical fact in US (public?) schools. If they're willing to omit, what else are they willing to do?
It's a little disheartening, to be frankly honest.
A CIA Operative during the 1960s is quoted as saying in the late 1990s, "I could find nothing but enthusiastic support of Fidel Castro [in Cuba]"
