-hugs PC-

I missed you baby :(

I swear to god the new monitor is about 1-2" wider than my old one. It's VGA only which kinda sucks, I do notice a bit of a sharpness difference, but I'll get used to it. Man, i seriously can't believe how WIDE it is.

Come to think of it, I think my old monitor was a 17" wide...

Jesus...

Still 1440x900 resolution though. This is amazing.

It's nice to be back on a fast moving PC.

Today I bought 4" Studio Monitors (I was going to go with Mackie MR5s but they're $340 total and I'd rather use something smaller for awhile and then make a bigger step to 8")

I also found a glass top desk with a glass roll out keyboard/mouse tray. It's wider than my keyboard and it should be absolutely perfect. I seriously can't wait to have two studio monitors, my keyboard, my 19" monitor and everything else all sitting in a nice, tight spot.

These studio monitors actually can use an S/PDIF interface which means i'll be able to eliminate all line noise with a digital signal. The reviews on them are astounding for 4". Nobody on the forums would touch 4" monitors but they all seem to be pretty well off financially (they're just elitist pricks mainly.) There were a few musicians who used higher end monitors who said the Studiophile 4" were just as good if not better than the ones in the $300-500 price range.

The only thing that pisses me off is the little tab to raise my keyboard up on the left side must've fallen off and if I can't find it, I'm going to have to buy a new keyboard as well. It is about time but still. It sucks.

I have $120 left. I'll probably save it for next months loan payment, as I just paid this months today.

Supposedly my dad is going to get me into the refinery. I could easily get 10 hours overtime a week there which would work out to something like a $400/week paycheck. That really wouldn't be too bad. It'd be stupid, mind numbing labor but it'll keep me busy. They are supposedly figuring out how they're going to get me a car, which is good. Once I have a car I can get my life back on track. I'm going to quit smoking marijuana (the refinery is hardass about it) but it's probably a good thing for now. I'm sure I'll fall into the weed scene if/when I go back to college anyway.

I'm pretty certain the fungal infection is going to be conquered completely by next week. It looks -so- much better. Also I need to set myself on quitting smoking cigarettes as well.

The perceived value of something is greater when we have less of what grants us that something.

The man who works long hours for less return perceives the value of his possessions as that much greater than the man who works short hours for a great deal.

By the way

Starcraft 2 looks awesome. It will be a pre-order for me pretty soon. I was always damn good at SC and I imagine that'll carry over into sc2. Who knows, maybe I'll be a professional american player ;)

Can't wait to kick some korean ass!
