I started playing EVE online, just the trial.
After a few hours, I stopped payment on my WoW account. Fuck that game. I barely played it anymore, and it was a major waste of time.
Now EVE, EVE I can get used too.
Stunningly beautiful graphics, perfectly rendered universe...seriously...it really calls to something in me, eh? And not nearly as time consuming.
----------------------------------
Sometimes I like to think that all of the science fiction books that come out are really just distant futures or planets...all interconnected by the collective unconscious, and that time is merely a cycle, not an infinite line. Thus, we could be tapping into something when we write science fiction...archetypes that will come to pass...worlds that will too.
And I am but a speck of sand on a beach, watching a still-frame picture of reality because my life is so impossibly short and insignificant relative to the vastness of space and time.
