A question.
Jun. 24th, 2004 01:54 amI'm not sure if anyone on my friends list knows anything about Druidism, but if they do, or anyone random coming across this does, I'd like to know about Druidic ritual magick. I've read far and wide and have found very little on it. I know of psionics and of the wiccan ritual, but I still don't know about my own religions rituals. I would like to be more authentic with my magick use, so that maybe one day I can truly call myself a Druid, and feel it in my soul, rather than one in training. I know that we need Poetry and Faith, but beyond that, I am at a loss. My earthmother cannot guide me all of the way, after all. I feel she expects me to seek wisdom from more knowledgeable mortals.
On another note, if you don't know anything pertaining to this, please don't comment. I don't need information outside of what i'm asking on this post.

Date: 2004-06-24 10:05 pm (UTC)The trick about Druidic anything is that you won't find much about it left in the records. They may have recorded stuff in some ways, but what was so done is either lost to time and its effects or still untranslated into English in an easily accessible format. Since the Druids were the educated/priestly class of the Celts, learning more about them and how they worshipped would help you find your way. The website I recommended is a start. Also, the book by Alexei Kondratiev called either The Apple Branch or Celtic Ritual (the publishers changed the title for the second edition) will give you one man's perspective on how it can be done. You may also want to check into local chapters of ADF if you aren't part of one already.
Good luck.

I've considered joining a group before, but I've been unsure. It would be a good way for me to learn what I'm lacking, I think.
I'll try to find that book as well, as one perspective is better than none.
Be well
