Apr. 4th, 2004 03:22 amI ponder all things energy.
Vampirism seems common, at least around here. Maybe it is everywhere...the real question is why is it common?
Is it because witches and those who understand energy feel they have a right to siphon off of anyone that is too weak to defend themselves? Or is it because the parasite, if there is a parasite, is being spread like wildfire?
Not all vamps are my enemy, but the malevolent ones...I feel they are abominations and deserve to be eliminated. Not physically of course, but I'm sure there is more than one way to get rid of their troublesome habits of draining.
I have had this big mix of energy beliefs for what seems like a long time. Spirituality, even in the Christian sense, at least long ago, combined with chakra belief from eastern philosophy, psionics, druidism and my early witchcraft.
All of this allows me to see it from all those points of view...maybe what is a twisted view of the reality or maybe what is close to the very essence of what energy belief is meant to be.
What I see commonly are very few different types of energy...There is definitely an earth energy, the green, as well as a cosmic energy...the 'white' stuff that seems to come from gods, or just godlike entities, whatever they may be. Psi energy is just body energy...I think the human consciousness creates it, though I can't really be sure if mental and body are separate energy types. I do know that psi energy is seen as a dark blue hue to me, and my healing energy is seen as a light blue...maybe healing energy is physical and psi is mental, but they are interconnected and therefore are the same color, just different hues?
At the basis of it, there really are only three energy types...what life gives off, the earth energy, and the cosmic, godly energy. The kundalini is something like a spiral, from what I remember, of the earth rising up through the root chakra and the cosmic coming down through the crown. The life energy may act as a binder of both (adding on to my belief that psi energy mixes far better than people allow themselves to believe)
I remember the first time I ever really concentrated on making a shield of both earth and psi energy...it became a reflective, shifting shield. When I tested an attack on it, the momentum of the attacking energy forced the shield to indent, but in the end the shield just forced the energy to bounce off, returning to it's 'original' form. It seemed basically impenetrable, never allowing itself to fold in far enough to reach me, and always bouncing things off.
I definitely believe that physical objects can assist in the manipulation of energy. Talismans, staves, wands, what-have-you, I think they all work in an essence, even if it is just because it gives the person peace of mind and more belief in themselves...though I feel items used often in energy working tend to give a boost to the user outside of just mental relief, due to the absorbtion of energy, which may even allow them to gain a 'sentience'...if they didn't already have one.
Drugs that cause a shift in consciousness all allow for a different perception of energy, at least it would seem that way. When I was on mushrooms, I remember the incredible feeling of drawing energy to myself in my grove...it was probably the most powerful feeling I have ever felt from absently drawing energy...I barely had to work to make it happen. The energy that was drawn made me feel like I was walking on air, a totally different consciousness.
And I've spoken enough for now I think.
